    Messages of Hope:  Pastoral Care and Family Violence
A professional seminar for Clergy, Pastors, Youth Ministers, Ministers of Pastoral Care, Stephen Ministers, Lay Leaders, Counselors, Chaplains, and Parish Nurses
from 9AM to 4PM at the Knoxville Convention Center.  

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:
We are truly honored to have Al Miles, a Hospital Chaplian and minister, travel to Knoxville to help lead this educational event.

Al Miles is a nationally recognized expert in the field of Religion and Family Violence. He earned his undergraduate degree from Anderson University and his Master of Divinity degree at the Anderson School of Theology. Since 1993, Miles has worked for Pacific Health Ministry at The Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu as the Coordinator of the Hospital Ministry Department.

He speaks frequently to a wide variety of audiences across the nation concerning domestic violence and teen dating abuse.

His publications include: Ending Violence In Teen Dating Relationships: A Resource Guide For Parents And Pastors(Augsburg Books, 2005); Violence In Families: What Every Christian Needs To Know (Augsburg Books, 2002) and Domestic Violence: What Every Pastor Needs To Know (Fortress Press, 2000)
